ALASKA NATIONAL PARKS ESCORTED LAND TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1, Tuesday
Fly into Anchorage, Alaska's largest city. Your tour representative will meet you in baggage claim then transfer you to your hotel for overnight accommodations in downtown Anchorage. (Please provide air arrival information at time of booking)
Day 2, Wednesday
Guided tour from Anchorage to Denali National Park today on the Parks Highway. Just outside of Anchorage heavy birch forests lead to the spectacular Knik and Matanuska Rivers. Along the route, watch for wildlife. Overnight Denali (Meals: Breakfast)
Day 3, Thursday
Today travel deep into Denali National Park on the Tundra Wilderness Tour and search the pristine wilderness for bear, moose, caribou, and Dall sheep. This six to eight hour journey is narrated allowing for insight into the animals, flora and fauna of this spectacular region including a snack on the bus. Early May & September tours are shortened due to road conditions. Overnight Denali. (Meals: Breakfast, Snack on TWT)
Day 4, Friday
Enjoy a morning of leisure for on own exploration. This afternoon board the world famous Alaska Railroad for the day trip to Anchorage. Watch for a glimpse of the majestic Mt. McKinley or black bear along the banks of the Susitna River. Overnight Anchorage (Meals: Breakfast)
Day 5, Saturday
Enjoy a brief city tour of Anchorage, which includes the historic downtown district. Included visit to the Alaska Native Heritage Center, a gathering place that celebrates, perpetuates and shares Alaska Native cultures. Tonight, feast on an Alaskan style dinner and share tales from the road with your traveling companions. Overnight Anchorage. (Meals: Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 6, Sunday
Board your motorcoach as you tour south along the scenic Turnagain Arm to the port community of Seward, gateway to the Kenai Fjords National Park. Included entrance to the Alaska Sealife Center. Overnight Seward. (Meals: Breakfast)
Day 7, Monday
Today cruise into theKenai Fjords National Park, viewing marine wildlife and glaciers. Keep an eye out for whales, sea otters, sea lions, puffins and much more. This evening travel north to the community of Girdwood, home of Mt. Alyeska. A tram pass takes you to the top of Mt. Alyeska. On the ride up keep an eye out for views of wildlife, glaciers and views of the Alaska Range, Kenai Mountains, Chugach Mountains, Cook Inlet and more. Overnight Alyeska. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch)
Day 8, Tuesday
Your adventure comes to an end with two scheduled transfers to the Anchorage International Airport. Transfers times will be determined by your Tour Director.
