Trains. Float Planes. Motor Coach. Dog Team. There are many ways to travel across Alaska.
Some are more inspirational than others. Take for instance, the Alaska Railroad Adventure Class.
All along the magnificent journey (over 500 miles), through stunning scenic wild and panoramic
vistas, guests are showered with thought-provoking commentary delivered by life long Alaskan tour
guides. You might just find the stories, silly anecdotes, scrap books, and interesting historical
narratives are the best part of the Alaska Railroad experience. Of course, the casual dining,
breezy, down home atmosphere is quite a rewarding treat as well and relaxing.
But you can't beat the sweeping views of Denali, award-winning glimpses of color-brushed tundra,
and chance glances at moose, bear, eagles, and the occasional fox. As you can imagine, the
trains grand picture windows come in handy for, well, superb pictures.
This delivered right to your assigned, and ever so comfortable, forward-facing seat in the lower
level with lots of legroom to stretch out, more room than even First-Class offers all part of the
personalized level of service found aboard Denali Star Alaska Railroad Adventure Class.
It's not just a catchy name, it is, what it says. All Adventure Class passengers get to see what
Alaska is like from the top. We invite you to mosey upstairs and take a turn in the classic vista-
dome cars. Please limit your stay so all Adventure Class passengers can enjoy the spectacular views
and running commentary from the conductor and service staff. And after a scrumptious meal in
the private dining car, wander down to the gift shop and find something for your friends and
family back home. Something to go with all the other great memories.
Oh, and this is worth mentioning, one of the nicest features of all on the Alaska Railroad trains
are the open-air vestibules between cars. Feel free to capture that unobstructed photo and to feel
the crisp Alaska air in your face. Above all, enjoy the show.
For large groups, we highly recommend the Alaska Railroad service. It is more of a wandering style
experience which allows the group to mix at various places on the train during the 8 hour ride from
Anchorage to Denali or the 4 hour trip from Denali to Fairbanks. Clients can walk throughout the
cars and not feel confined. Traveling in a group allows for not only the sharing of common
interests, but an opportunity to experience the beauty of Alaska with other travelers. Over
the last twelve years, Premier has worked with hundreds of groups in Alaska. They have all used the
Alaska Railroad service and loved it! |
