Wilderness Sled Dog Ride & Tour
Learn about the lifestyle of Seward's own Iditarod racing family and see what it takes to prepare musher and sled dogs for the world's most demanding race. Tour the racing kennels, cuddle puppies, and climb aboard a comfortable custom wheeled sled for a thrilling two-mile sled ride from the Seavey Homestead to the base of Resurrection Mountain. All tours are guided by Iditarod and Jr. Iditarod finishers. Rates: $69/adult, $34.50/child (ages 11 and under).
Visit the Alaska Sealife Center
The Alaska Sealife Center is dedicated to understanding and maintaining the integrity of the marine ecosystems of Alaska through research, rehabilitation, and public education. Visitors to the center watch puffins fly through underwater skies and meet sea lions and harbor seals eye to eye. Learn about octopus, halibut, kittiwakes and more. Open daily 8am to 8pm. Rates: $20/adult, $15/child (ages 7-12) Children 6 years and younger are free.

Float Adventure Tour
Float down the Resurrection River starting just below Exit Glacier. Enjoy expansive views of the Resurrection Valley that you can only see from the river. There is no whitewater on this trip. Sightings of eagles and black bear are fairly often. Dress warm and bring sunglasses, camera. Provided: raingear, riverboots, life jackets. Rates: $80/adult.
Fox Island Sea Kayaking
Includes morning cruise to Fox Island, kayaking instruction & 6 hour wilderness day paddle, lunch snack & Salmon Bake dinner and cruise directly back to Seward. Spend the day exploring the spectacular coastline of Fox Island. Observe puffins as you paddle along sea cliffs. Located at the entrance to Resurrection Bay, 14 ocean miles from Seward, Fox Island is a magical mix of rain forest, sculpted cliffs, protected coves, and long pebbled beaches. Its also home to a great variety of wildlife and to some of the world's best paddling. This full day adventure is geared to the active traveler. *No experience required, kayaking instruction is provided by skilled and knowledgeable guides. Rates: $200/adult
